The class finished off the Act 3 worksheets for The Crucible last week on Friday, but I did not have time to collect them, so this week we collected Act 3 as well as 4 study materials. We took a test on Act 3 on Monday, and read Act 4 and completed the study materials on it as well as a test by the block day. Friday the class took the healthy kids survey, students not participating read quietly.

I was absent on Monday, students watched a film, Jurassic Park 3, and then when I returned Tuesday, finished the film. The classes then wrote up a “book report” on the movie using my book report format. The purpose of the activity is for students to become familiar with my extra credit book report format, all students are welcome to turn in 1 book report format 1 week before the last day of the semester for extra credit. The rest of the week students continued with the notes and open note verbal advantage quizes, and students finished off a test started Friday on The Pardoner’s Tale from The Cantebury Tales. They also began reading The Wife of Bath’s Tale. They will finish off reading the Wife of Bath’s Tale today or Monday and work on study guide materials after, followed by the test. The next unit will be on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew.

11th and 12th grades have been updated. These grades are mid week, just a stopping point really, some assignments for some units still need to be graded and entered, and students who made up tests from absences may not see them show up until the next update.
