Sorry I have been inconsistent upkeeping this site. It seems that all the tools are new the old software I bought is useless to upkeep this site, so I have a major learning curve to make everything work, but with the help of the webmaster, Dr. Levy, I hope it will all be fully functional very soon.
12th Grade Monday—Finish reading “Rocking Horse Winner” and work on the study guides/worksheets Lit Analysis 12 & Active Reading 11, Synonyms and Antonyms 55 & Subject Verb Agreement 141, Words to Know 13 & Quiz 14, (due Friday, but do them early to study for the test). Test is Tuesday. There was also a ½ page journal entry today. Tuesday Test on “Rocking Horse,” ½ page journal entry, then start from “the Speeches” Winston Churchill. Block Day finish “The Speeches” and work on study guides/worksheets Lit Analysis 62 & Active Reading 61, Quiz worksheet 64 & Words to Know 63, Connotation 90 & Passive Voice 168, (due Friday, but do them early to study for the test). Then take the test on “the Speeches.” Read “Do Not Go Gentle Into that Good Night.” Start to watch Back to School the movie. Be prepared to explain how Thorton Melon’s answer to the professor’s question “what does the poem mean” is appropriate given his life and experiences. I will do a journal check Friday, and collect all the worksheets Friday. Quarter grades will be posted by or before Friday.

They are the Quiz pg. 52 & Coordinating Conjuctio 77, Complex Sentences 51 & Words to Know 50, and the Literary Analysis 49 & Active Reading 48 worksheets. If students don’t finish either the reading or the study guides/worksheets they are homework. We also had a ½ page journal entry today. Tuesday the classes finished reading “Lalla” and worked on the study guides, there was also a ½ page journal entry and they took the test on “Lalla,” On block day the classes did a 1 page journal entry and started reading “the Californian’s Tale.” Worksheets/study guides were assigned: Quiz worksheet 41, Lit Analysis 38 & Active Reading 37, Placement of Adjectives 40 & Words to Know 39 (they are due Friday). They had time to finish them in class and took a test on “The Californian’s Tale.” I will do a journal check Friday, and collect all the worksheets Friday. Quarter grades will be posted by or before Friday.
