10th English: I must postpone collecting the worksheets for "A White Heron" (Act Read 5 & Lit Anls 6, WTK 7 & Adverb Clauses 8, Quiz 9, Word Origins 78 & Context Clues 77) as getting through the test for "A White Heron" and the verbal advantage test will take most of the period Monday.  I will collect these on Friday, as students did not get enough time to finish them last week.

Computer Applications:  I am grading lessons 3&4 of Powerpoint starting today.

10th English:  Verbal Advantage words were given out before vacation, and Monday, students were given a test.  Tuesday students were given another set of words and definitions and the test was on the block days this week.  These tests are open note tests.  Students are encouraged to keep all sets of notes as the tests are extremely difficult and review words previously covered.

Students read the poem "Birches" on Monday, and were assigned the worksheet Lit Analysis 11 & Active Reading 10.  The worksheet is due Friday.  They had an open book test on the poem on Tuesday.

On the block days, students read A White Heron.  This piece was not finished during class, so we will finish reading it and work on the worksheets for it on Friday this week.  The worksheets for A White Heron (Act Read 5 & Lit Anls 6, WTK 7 & Adverb Clauses 8, Quiz 9, Word Origins 78 & Context Clues 77) will probably be collected on Monday, as students did not get enough time to finish them this week. 

Students registered for classes on Block days this week, filled out registration forms are due next week on the block days.  They will be turned in to the couselors during their English classes, please do not be absent next week during that time.

I should be posting new grades this weekend for English classes.

Computer Applications:  I am grading Powerpoint lessons 1-4 this week and next.  Look for updates to the grades this weekend for lessons 1-2 and another update next weekend for 3-4.
