I have entered 3 more tests into the gradebook in 10th English, and graded the first 4 assignments of Excel for the progress report. Period 3 is reading "Tonight I can Write" Periods 4,5 are finishing "Sonnet 18,30." I will collect worksheets from the Sonnet pieces: Rhetorical ?s 8&174, Lit Anls 7 & Active Reading 6, Tonight I can Write: Denotative and Connotative 45, Lit Anls. 56 & Active Read 55–due Friday. I hope to have all classes caught up Tuesday Dec 13, and I hope to have all classes caught up together by today. I posted my progress reports yesterday and posted new grades on line.
Reminder: 50 EBS points are due by January 13, which will account for 10% of the grade.

All classes read The Californian’s Tale. Tests on The Californian’s tale will be on block day (period 5 did not get to the test, will test Friday). Worksheets will be due Friday for all classes (Placement of Adjectives 74 & Prefixes 2, Literary Analysis 38 & Active Reading 37, Placement of Adgectives 40 & Words to Know 39, Quiz 41).
Period 4 finished The Californian’s Tale and also read Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 30. The following worksheets will be due on Friday from the Sonnet pieces: Lit Analysis 7 & Active Reading 6, Rhetorical Questions 8 & 174 They did not get to the test, so it will be on Friday.
Period 3 finished The Californian’s Tale and read Sonnet 18 and 30, worked on the worksheets and took the test on block day. The worksheets for the Californian’s tale (listed above) will be turned in Friday. The worksheets for Sonnet 18 & Sonnet 30 (listed above) will also be turned in on Friday.
The next story classes are working on is Tonight I can Write. If they do not get it read on Friday, it will be assigned for homework. All students will be working on worksheets for Tonight I can Write on Monday.
New grades should be posted Thursday night and again this weekend.
